About Us

RAD?CO, is a veteran owned business operating in New England. About 40 years ago RAD?CO started as a small company designing Air Samplers for the nuclear industry. In 1973, Science Applications International (SAI) purchased RAD?CO. It was here the name RAD?CO took on its true form. RAD?CO stands for RAdiation DEtection COmpany pronounced (RA Deek Oh.)

After purchasing the RAD?CO product line from Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) in February 2000, the company was moved to New England. Since that time our manufacturing facility and annual sales have tripled in size. Over the last several years RAD?CO has been awarded multiple large contracts from military and emergency response organizations including the U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, and USEPA.

SAIC, designed and built superior equipment and RAD?CO has continued this tradition. RAD?CO is committed to invest in new products and services and is continually upgrading older models and developing newer state-of-the-art models. From telemetry based remote monitoring and AC/DC portable high volume samplers to newly improved radioiodine sampling cartridges, the tradition of innovation continues at RAD?CO.

In January of 2006, RAD?CO entered into an Alliance Agreement with International Speciality Products Corporation (ISP), to assist with the development of a new type of colorimetric radiation dosimeter designed specifically for first responders. The RADView PD dosimeter has been supplied to The National Guard, The State of New Jersey, and New York City to name a few and to numerous emergency response organizations around the country. RAD?CO has worldwide distribution rights to the RADView line of radiation dosimeters.
